The art of social and political content in Argentina 1/6/2010 al 16/6/2010
The objective of the course by professor Miguel Angel Muñoz in June 2010 was to study the precedents of art with a social and political content in Argentina: The realism of the painters of the Generation of the Eighty: De la Cárcova: no bread and no job. Pío Collivadino: the teaching of engraving, the suburb as a theme. Likewise, the course discussed the People’s Artists as the first programmatic group in Argentine social art and their role within the Florida-Boedo controversy.
LECTURER
MIGUEL ÁNGEL MUÑOZ. Bachelor on Arts (UBA). Member of the Argentine Center of Art Researchers. Teaching activity: Professor of "History of American Art II" at the Faculty of Philosophy (University of Buenos Aires). Professor of "History of Art and Argentine and American Culture III and IV" at the Universidad del Salvador. Professor of "Argentine Art I and II" at the University of Palermo. He teaches courses at the Friends Association of the National Museum of Fine Arts. Publications: Various works on the history of Argentine art in the first decades of the 20th century.
