Negotiation and Gender Workshop for Women Trade Unionists in the City of Buenos Aires. 7/6/2022 al 28/6/2022
The Foro del Sur Foundation together with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation will be conducting an Experiential Workshop on Negotiation and Gender for Women Trade Unionists, led by professors Florencia Brandoni and Andrea Finkelstein in the City of Buenos Aires, on June 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th.
Four meetings to think together, review experiences and develop skills to improve our professional and daily negotiations by overcoming gender stereotypes.
How much does gender affect the way we negotiate?
What can we do to improve our position in a historically male-dominated world?
As part of the programme dedicated to enhancing the competences of women trade unionists, a workshop will be held for trade unionists from organisations based in the city of Buenos Aires and Greater Buenos Aires.
The Programme will provide tools that will allow not only to identify gender stereotypes in order not to fall into their nets, but also to know and strengthen personal style. Maintaining control of the process. Communication skills: listening, enquiring, understanding and creating value. Identifying the sources of power and their possible development. Building empathy and strengthening ties. Knowing how to reformulate the negotiation: What is actually being negotiated? Dealing with emotions and identity fears. How to say "no" without affecting the bond. Assertiveness: how to express a request without the other person perceiving it as criticism or demand. Detecting difficult tactics and foul play in negotiations: changing the game and leading constructive conversations. How to avoid losing sight of objectives to achieve success.
