Accelerating Equality: Parity Democracy 22/6/2021
On June 22, the Association of Women Judges and the Foro del Sur Foundation promoted an online meeting to analyze the Latin American landscape and think about the best strategies to accelerate the processes towards a parity democracy in the region.
The event’s participants were:
Maria del Carmen Battaini, Judge and President of the Federal Board of Courts and Superior Courts of Justice of the Argentine Provinces and President of the Council of the Magistracy of Tierra del Fuego.
Rocío Silva-Santisteban, human rights activist, writer, university professor and currently congresswoman of Peru.
Constanza Gabriela Schonhaut Soto, lawyer, feminist and human rights activist, elected to participate in the drafting of Chile's next Constitution.
Dolores Gandulfo, Director of Institutional Policy of the Ombudsman's Office of the City of Buenos Aires and Director of the Electoral Observatory of the Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean (COPPPAL).
