Aníbal Jozami is a sociologist specialized in international relations and a businessman in international trade of agricultural and oil products.
He has been a consultant for various national, regional and international organizations.
He is the Rector of the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero with an extensive academic career.
Between 2000 and 2004 he was President of the UNESCO International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean.
He is the founder and Director of MUNTREF, whose five venues in Buenos Aires and its surroundings have developed a vast activity with exhibitions of great international impact and with more than two million visitors in their twenty years of activity, also developing a great educational program aimed at the promotion of culture in socially vulnerable areas.
He is the founder and General Director of Bienalsur(International Biennial of Contemporary Art of the South), which took place in 2017 and 2019 simultaneously in more than forty cities in twenty countries.
He is a founding member of the association Friends of the Centre Pompidou and a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Reina Sofia Museum Foundation.
He was Vice-Minister of Education in Argentina, Director of the Banco de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires and President of the Fundación Banco Ciudad, among other public offices in different governments.
He was declared a Cultural Personality of the City of Buenos Aires and is a Knight of the National Order of Merit and of the Order of the Legion of Honour of the French Republic. He was awarded the Simón Bolivar medal of UNESCO, the medal of the Presidency of the Republic of Lebanon, the medal of Recognition of Honour of the University of Gdansk, Poland, among other distinctions.
