Diana Wechsler holds a PhD in Art History, is a researcher at CONICET (National Scientific and Technical Research Council), and is a curator. She is currently the vice-rector of Universidad Nacional deTres de Febrero (UNTREF), artistic director of MUNTREF (the museums and art centers), and also directs the Institute for Research in Art and Culture and the Master's Degree in Curatorial Studies. She currently also serves as a visiting professor at various universities in Europe and the Americas.

Since 2015, together with Aníbal Jozami, she has designed and she directs, as artistic director, BIENALSUR.

She publishes essays on her specialty at the national and international level and conducts curatorial research in different museums and centers dedicated to modern and contemporary art, including: Utopian Dimensions, Poetic illuminations, Thinking with Images, Reality and Utopia, Micronarratives in the national collections, Boltanski Buenos Aires, Nothing is where you think it is, Reality and Utopia, Fokus Südamerika, Cosmopolitanism, Cubism and New Art, Territories of Dialogue, Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Entre tiempos/Between times, among others. She direct the journal Estudios Curatoriales.

She directs and participates in several research and development teams for which he has received national and international funding and grants (Spanish Ministry of Science, Getty Research Institute, Connecting Art Histories Program, Centre Allemand d'Histoire de l'Art, etc.).

She has received scholarships and grants such as the Getty Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship (1999/2000) and the Art and Curatorial Essay Awards from the International Association of Art Critics (1996/1999/2006), and the Argentine Senate Scientific Production Award (2004).

She received the Konex Prize for Art Essays (2014). She was honored by the French Republic with the honorary title of Chevalier des Palmes Académiques (2018).
