SEMINAR: WORK AGENDA FOR THE MERCOSUR
In August 1999, the Foro del Sur Foundation organized the seminar "Work Agenda for the Mercosur" that took place in the Versailles Room of the Chateau Park Plaza in the city of Buenos Aires. The event was sponsored by the Brazilian Embassy. On that occasion, the participants’ list included the Brazilian Ambassador to Argentina, Sebastiao do Rego Barros; Gilberto Dupas and Luis Olavo Baptista from the University of San Pablo; Roberto Giannetti da Fonseca president of Silex Trading; Djalma Rodrigues de Souza, president of Gaspetro; Dr. Armando Caro Figueroa, former Minister of Labor in Argentina; Dr. Martín Redrado, President of the Capital Foundation; Dr. Roberto Lavagna, President of Ecolatina; Dr. Elio Cipolatti, Secretary of Transportation of the Province of Córdoba. Likewise, officials of the national and provincial government, businessmen and academics whose work is related to the topics discussed participated in the debate.
