SEMINAR "LESSONS FROM PRIVATIZATION IN ARGENTINA"

In June 1996, the Foro del Sur Foundation carried out a seminar that was part of the activities coordinated by the Office of the United Nations Development Program in the Republic of Guatemala. It was attended by the Vice President of Guatemala, Dr. Luis Alberto Flores Asturias; Gustavo Porras Castejón, Coordinator of the Peace Commission (COPAZ); Mariano Rayo Muñoz, Secretary of Economic Planning of Guatemala; Carolina Roca, Director of the UNDP Project; Lizardo Sosa Lopez, expert from the UNDP Project; Héctor Neme, former Undersecretary of Public Works of Argentina; Dr. Miguel D’Alessandro, former Secretary of State for Transportation, holding the position of National Deputy during that period and being part of the Bicameral Commission for Monitoring Privatizations; Enrique Devoto, Vice President of the National Electricity Regulation Entity of Argentina (ENRE); Eduardo Cevallo, President of the Tripartite Entity of Sanitary Works and Services (ETOSS); and Anibal Y. Jozami, President of the Foro del Sur Foundation and former Controller of the National Board of Grains.
