INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE WITH LECH WALESA
In April 1997, the Foro del Sur Foundation had Lech Walesa, recognized trade union leader, former president of Poland and Nobel Peace Prize winner in 1983, as a guest for its International Coffee cycle. In a relaxed atmosphere, he met with specialists in international relations to share his experience and how the mobilization of the workers was fundamental to change the relations of the people with the political leaders of Poland in the midst of the Cold War.
